Android mobile devices, such as phones, tablets, and foldables, can now download the Apple TV app from Google Play. This app gives Android users access to popular, award-winning Apple Original series and movies on Apple TV+, as well as Major League Soccer’s home network, MLS Season Pass, according to a blog post by Apple.

Through the Apple TV app for Android, users can now subscribe to Apple TV+, which provides kids’ and family entertainment, feature films, innovative documentaries, and gripping drama and comedy series.
The app launched on November 1, 2019, making it the first all-original streaming service to launch globally. Since then, it has released more original content and won more awards than any other streaming service in its first year of operation. The multi-Emmy Award-winning comedy Ted Lasso and the historic Oscar Best Picture winner CODA are just two of the 538 wins and 2,553 award nominations that Apple Original films, documentaries, and series have received to date.
Friday Night Baseball, a weekly Major League Baseball doubleheader with no local broadcast restrictions, is also available on Apple TV+. In 2025, Sunday Night Soccer, a weekly primetime stand-alone game featuring Major League Soccer’s (MLS) most intriguing matches, will also be available to subscribers. The 30th season of MLS will begin the weekend of February 22 with competition from all 30 clubs.

With their Google Play account, Android users can sign up for MLS Season Pass and Apple TV+ on Google TV and Android mobile devices. Additionally, Apple TV+ provides a free seven-day trial. Despite Apple’s announcement, the Apple TV+ app is not yet accessible in Nigeria on the Google Play Store as of this writing.
