Before you dive right in, here are some things you need to know about Lagos
Business School (LBS): LBS is a graduate business school under the Pan-Atlantic
University Foundation, located in Ajah. They offer academic and executive
programmes as well as short courses in management.

Lagos Business School was established in 1991, and focuses on programmes that help build responsible business leaders around the world, collaborating with other business schools in Africa and other continents. Lagos Business School Courses and Fees

LBS programmes include: MBA, Executive MBA, Modular Executive MBA,
Modular MBA, and DBA (Doctor of Business Administration). Most of the MBA
programmes run for 2 years, with the exception of the DBA which lasts for 3 years.

Executives, Sales Professionals, Agribusiness Managers and so on. There are also

First, a needs assessment is conducted and then they assemble a team to design a
programme and develop the curriculum and materials that are needed to deliver the

A. The LBS MBA programme is done in partnership with the Yale School of
Business in the US. The program runs for 18 months comprising three semesters (two
in the first year and one in the second year). There are 15 months of coursework with classes running from Monday to Friday. After 9 months of coursework, there is a 3
month project based corporate internship. Also, the last semester is elective and in
this semester, there is a chance to take part in the international student exchange
programme with their partner schools.

Some of the requirements include:

  • A minimum of three (3) years work experience
  • A first degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower or a HND with PGD
  • An O’level result with a minimum of 5 credits including English and Mathematics.
  • GRE/ GMAT/ NMAT is also required with a satisfactory score.
    The total cost or fees for the program is estimated about 7,000,000 Naira (which is
    about 3,500,000 per session). The entrance exam will also be tested according to the
    GRE/ GMAT style.

B. The Modular MBA programme operated a blended classroom (both online and on-
campus) as participants are required to take a one week intensive class every three
months, making it 8 weeks in total. Like the MBA, the last semester is an elective
where students can chose between an Entrepreneurship, Technology or General
Management Track, as well as a one week international module overseas.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of three (3) years work experience
  • A first degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower or a HND with PGD
  • An O’level result with a minimum of 5 credits including English and Mathematics.
    The total cost or fees for the program is estimated about 7,200,000 Naira (which is
    about 3,600,000 per session). The entrance exam will be an LBS entrance test.

C. The Executive MBA programme covers a period of 24 months, spread over 2
sessions, and there is a 5 day intensive week, once every semester. It is a weekend
programme for middle to senior level managers looking to transition into C-suite
executives. The requirements are the same as the Modular MBA programme
mentioned above; but with a minimum of 7 years work experience and 3 years of
managerial experience. The total cost or fees for the program is estimated about
8,400,000 Naira (which is about 4,200,000 per session).

D. The Modular Executive MBA is also a two year programme designed for
professionals. It is also a blended structure classroom and includes an optional international exchange programme. The requirements are the same for an Executive
MBA and the total cost or fees for the program is estimated about 8,400,000 Naira
(which is about 4,296,000 per session).

The LBS entrance exam costs 10,000 Naira and is required as an ESA (Essential
Skills Assessment). Either that or a GMAT/GRE will be required as evaluative test.
Subsequently, the short-listed candidates will be called for an interview after there has
been a satisfactory evaluation of the candidates intellectual and professional capacity
or experience.

  • Three reference forms from three (3) referees from work
  • Copies of O’ level result and university degree
  • Official transcript (after admission)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of NYSC certificate or Letter of Exemption (for Nigerian candidates only)
  • Passport Photograph
  • Company organogram (can be sketched)
  • Company consent form
  • English proficiency test for non-native speakers of English (TOEFL or IELTS)
  • Evidence of ability to pay.
