Techpoint Africa is organising the second edition of the Techpoint Writer Bootcamp, scheduled to hold in Ile-Ife, Osun state, from April 6th to April 10th, 2021.
One of the most notable brands across Africa’s tech, startup and business ecosystem, Techpoint Africa in June 2019 launched the inaugural edition of the Techpoint Africa Bootcamp.

I've been at @Techpointdotng as the Startup Reporter for the past 18 months, and I've learnt everything here; so it feels surreal to be leaving.
During the bootcamp, 6 finalists will be lodged at a shared house in Ife, Osun state. They will get an intensive, hands-on introduction to the world of tech journalism and what Techpoint Africa does.
At the end of the bootcamp, at least three of the best participants will be offered a paid 6-month internship with Techpoint Africa, with future work potential for the right candidates.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, the company reduced the number of bootcamp finalists by 50%, compared to 2019.
It is open to everyone who is passionate about writing and is looking to build a career out of it. While the bootcamp will give you all the core basics, the paid internship is where the real training begins.
Eligibility
Applicants do no need any journalism or tech experience to apply for the bootcamp. You just need to know how to communicate effectively in writing.
Applicants must also:
- Be at least 18 years old by April 6, 2021.
- Be available for a 4-day stay-in bootcamp in Ife, Osun state.
- Be able to work out of our Ife lodge (not remote) for the duration of the 6-month internship, if selected.
- Preferably not have any professional/journalism experience.
