Lamborghini’s latest unveiling, the Revuelto Opera Unica, is not just a car; it’s a testament to the fusion of artistry and automotive engineering. Unveiled at the prestigious Art Basel Miami Beach 2023, this one-off creation is a breathtaking testament to the Italian marque’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of design.
This automotive masterpiece continues Lamborghini’s legacy, following in the footsteps of the iconic Huracan Sterrato. The Revuelto Opera Unica is a testament to the boundless possibilities inherent in Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department and its Ad Personam customization program, all while celebrating the brand’s remarkable 60th anniversary.
Mitja Borkert, Automobili Lamborghini’s design director, expressed the inspiration behind this creation: We wanted to create something purely artistic using brushes and a combination of colors as if the Revuelto were a canvas. That is what fueled our inspiration for this special livery.
The exterior of the Revuelto Opera Unica is a labor of love, demanding a staggering 435 hours of meticulous hand painting over 18 days, including 76 hours of development. The finish boasts a unique blend of Viola Pasifae (purple) and Nero Helene (black), adorned with vibrant red, blue, and orange streaks. Every brushstroke emphasizes Lamborghini’s commitment to intricate design, making the Revuelto a dynamic hand-painted marvel that captures attention on any road.
However, the artistry continues beyond the exterior. The interior, a symphony of Viola Acutus and Nero Ade tones, required an additional 220 hours over nine days. This interior design harmoniously mirrors the dynamic exterior, with warm and cool colors interweaving within the cabin. The celebratory touch of the 60th-anniversary logos stitched into the headliner door inserts and headrests adds an exclusive touch. A plaque reading (The Future Began in 1963 and distinctive embroidery accentuate the craftsmanship.
Despite its artistic flourishes, the Revuelto Opera Unica retains its powerhouse V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain, boasting 1,001 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque.
While the price remains undisclosed, this bespoke automotive masterpiece is undoubtedly beyond the confines of an online configurator. It’s a testament to Lamborghini’s artistry and craftsmanship, solidifying its place as an unparalleled icon in the world of automotive design.
