OPPO Nigeria to launch the Reno 5 series in March

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is gearing up for a launch of its Reno 5 series in the Nigeria market after the successful virtual launch in Kenya on Monday, February 22nd. The company is yet to announce when its latest devices – the Reno 5 and the Reno 5F will be coming to Nigeria.

Popular Nigerian YouTuber and content creator, Fisayo Fosudo posted an image on Twitter of the unreleased OPPO Reno 5 along with a caption of major specifications of the device.

A Twitter user asked for the price and OPPO mobile replied ”Stay tuned” which means Nigerians should expect the device anytime from now. But we believe the device should be launched anytime from mid-March in Nigeria.

OPPO also revealed the upcoming Reno 5 and 5F smartphone on its Kenya website. The design, camera specifications, battery capacity, processor and software of the upcoming smartphone is on the website.

According to the OPPO kenya website, the device will feature a 4,310mAh battery, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, 50W fast Charge 4.0, AI colour portrait mode and dual-view video mode. It also comes installed with the latest OPPO’s ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.

The OPPO Reno 5 series was released into the Kenya markets in 4G version and this will apply to the Nigeria market since 5G network is yet to be deployed in the country.

Comparing the design and specifications, the Oppo Reno 5 could be an upgraded version of the Oppo Reno 4, which was launched in Nigeria last year.

OPPO is one of the largest smartphone makers in the world and after the launch of its innovative OPPO A93 and Reno 4 we expect to see improved features in the Reno 5 series.
